Woodene Park est 2021.

Starting from scratch with a few foundation Does back in 2021, coupled with the purchase of a grey Agouti 67% buck, Plumbago Koolbardi.

Obtaining Pygmy goats in WA, back then was truly a mission.
We had our first low % Pygmy kids on the ground in 2022. This was the point where I started to really research The Pygmy goat.🤗 I was smitten.

Things started to change in WA too, at this time. The importation of goats into WA became available. So I was on the hunt and started looking over East.
After speaking to fellow breeder Sue Jenkins from Vino Amore Pygmy Goats in NSW. I decided a starter herd was my best option at this point. So over came Vino Amore Prince Nicholas my 78% buck and such a stud muffin; being of Chamoisee colour and having Trinity Joe Raff in his linage, was a big ✅.

He has added more overall cobbiness, spring of rib and beautiful temperaments to his kids, and has produced predominately Chamoisee colour to almost all of kids, in varying shades, along with Chocolate Chamoisee.

He was joined by twin Does, Vino Amore Queen Elizabeth and Vino Amore Princess Lilibet. Being of more traditional with Black Agouti colour. Elizabeth showing more correct frosting over the eyes than her sister Lilibet and slightly more cobbiness.

Both produced their first kids in February this year. Both having 78% twins.🥰Three Does were retained and the buck was sold to a fellow breeder here in WA who was starting out similarly to me - from scratch.

I also put my first generation kids to Nicholas and was thrilled once again, with the kids he and the dams produced. Including 60% Pygmy WP Mocha Bindi (chocolate Chamoisee) and 55% Pygmy WP Djinda (Chamoisee) who were born November 2023.

My first buck Koolbardi has now been retired as I focus on my higher % Pygmy goats and work towards improving my herd.

Now at the end of 2024, I had come to the realisation that I would be in need of another buck with different genetics, moving forward.
Once again I began looking.
I decided on purchasing a 12 week old buck from Kamali’i Pygmy goat stud in Victoria. His confirmation at such a young age was outstanding (in my eyes)and being light grey agouti with long black stockings.💙

The thing I noticed after picking him up only a few days ago, was how tiny he was! So in proportion to his size. He displays all the characters a young buck should.

So we now introduce Kamali’i Sweet Victory (89.06%) to our stud.

Moving  forward into 2025 we will see a few Does kidding, the later part of 2025 will hopefully see the first mating from Victory to my second generation Does, leading into 2026 with my first 3rd generation kids…🤞🏻😊
